RapCube is a personal, free and non-commercial website: no ads, no sales, no subscription.

The publisher, a private individual acting on a non-professional basis, has chosen not to publish their identity, as allowed by article 1-1 III of French law no. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 (LCEN). Their details have been given to the host.

Personal data

Without an account, the game anonymously records: a random id created by your browser, each answer you try, each finished game (score, errors, play time, date and time) and the reports you send. No name, no email. This data makes the game work: answer rarity, leaderboard, statistics, fixing mistakes (the publisher's legitimate interest).

With an account (optional), your nickname, email address, game history and stickers are added, so you get them back on every device and appear on the leaderboard (performance of the service you ask for). Your email is only used to send you a sign-in link: never a newsletter, never sold.

Your IP address is only used at request time to limit abuse; RapCube does not keep it (the host keeps its own technical logs).

Recipients: no data is sold or shared. Only the technical providers listed above process it on the publisher's behalf. They are based in the United States; these transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider).

Retention: account data is kept while the account exists and erased when it is deleted; sign-in links expire after 30 minutes, then are deleted; anonymous game data is kept while the game is online.

Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. You can delete your account and all its data yourself, from your profile; for anything else, write to contact@rapcu.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies and storage

RapCube sets no advertising or audience-measurement cookie. It only uses:

• rg_lang and rg_theme: your language and theme (light or dark), 1 year;
• rc_session: your session if you have an account, 1 year, erased when you sign out;
• your browser's local storage: current game, history, stickers, display preferences. It stays on your device.

These are strictly necessary to the service or personalise the interface, so they need no consent (CNIL guidelines). You can clear them at any time from your browser.

Audience measurement: RapCube counts its visits with Vercel Web Analytics, with no cookie and no persistent id: each visit is counted anonymously and in aggregate (page views, country, device type), and nothing lets anyone follow you from one day to the next or across sites.

Intellectual property

The game, its design, texts and stickers belong to the publisher. Artist information comes from public, open sources; artist, album and track names are cited for information and remain their owners'.

RapCube is inspired by 1990s drum machines; it is not affiliated with Akai Professional, inMusic, or any artist or label. MPC is a trademark of its owner.

Governing law

This notice is governed by French law.
